I think its a real shame she thinks she must quit to prevent her kids from smoking, as statistics have shown kids will just do the opposite of what the parents want, no matter if they smoke or not. I also think it's not really fair that a woman should have to sacrifice her pleasure for 20 years while the kid grows up. Will the kids appreciate this, or will it simply make mom more grumpy and irritable without her smokes? Will mom shout at her kids more because she really needs a cig but cant? In my day, mom would simply say "I need a cigarette" and that was the end of the fuss.
